
In this programme “Cam” takes us onto the rails of many long-forgotten or well-remembered railways in Scotland and the North East of England, and shows us some of the last members of many pre-grouping railway locomotive classes such as Caledonian 0-6-0s and 0-4-4 tanks, Pickersgill and GNoS 4-4-0s, the J69 with a tender on the Lauder branch, North Eastern Q6s and J27s between Tyneside and Teesside, G5 0-4-4Ts, A8 4-6-2Ts, and lines including the Great North of Scotland, in the Border Country, the Easingwold Railway, LNER Pacifics on the East Coast Main Line, and the legendary route across Rannoch Moor to Fort William and Mallaig.
