At the height of World War One, when their factories were presumably working flat out to satisfy military demands, Decauville issued their biggest Catalogue ever - the legendary No. 130 reproduced beautifully here in all its considerable glory. It covers all of Decauville’s standard range of tracks, points, fixtures and fittings, rolling stock - military, goods and passenger, plus motive power (all steam). A few items of rolling stock are standard gauge, but this is overwhelmingly a book of narrow gauge items, and other than the historian, the appeal is totally narrow gauge. In particular the detail illustrations, and often drawings, of rolling stock and locomotives make this a tremendous information source for the modeller in any gauge. When you pick this up you may well think it has the 1024 pages the numbering suggests, but the reality is there are actually nearly 450; the numbering is odd! Heck of a price, but one heck of a book! Superbly illustrated with both engravings and photographs, all very well reproduced. Hardbound. LR Presse
