Three 30 minute films here. First is Gerald M Best’s California Limiteds, which goes as far back as the late 1920s, so you see plenty of SP and Santa Fe steam in action, mainly in Southern California, . Best was a well known railroad author and photographer and there is some great stuff here. The second film is California Zephyr - a 1950s public relations film made fairly soon after the introduction of this famous train, showing the equipment, the route, and the cities it served. The final film is Western Pacific on TV made in 1956 and showing the WP at the height of its post-war revival and, inevitably, showing the CZ. Really nice selection.
