This is a compendium of articles taken from Machinery Magazine. Most detail how bench lathes were quickly and accurately built with ordinary, rather than custom built machine tools, including those made in the British Potter and TML works. These are interesting, but the best part of this 48 page booklet is an extremely good 7 page article on hand scraping, which is worth the price of the book on its own! 53 photos and drawings. Softcover. Lindsay Publications
