Interesting book looking at all the German high-speed railway machines, and locomotives built between 1900 and 1945, be they steam, electric, IC, or even rocket powered (honest - Fritz van Opel reached a rocket powered 254 kph in 1928). Other than this and the propeller driven ‘Schienenzeppelin’, all the other locomotives and trains were conventional, and are well covered here, as is the signalling required for regular high-speed operation.
