Railways of Peru Vol. 1 - The Northern Lines
£20.95

This eagerly awaited book, the first of two on Peruvian railways, covers the lines north of Lima, none of which now survive. Of a variety of gauges, whilst many were ‘common-carriers’, the main reason for their existence was to transport a variety of items from the hinterland to ports on the Pacific coast. All of these lines used an interesting selection of motive power, mainly American or British built, which, by the end, included a number of centenarian classic Rogers’ 4-4-0s. 95 pages full of interesting, mainly B & W, photos, maps, rosters etc. Paperback. Trackside Publications.

NOTE - August 2010: Chris Walker, who was Trackside Publications, died very unexpectedly at the beginning of this month and cuuremtly the future of the firm is not clear. If the website won't allow you to order this book, it means that our current stocks have sold out and, whilst we hope to obtain further copies in due course, in these circumstances this cannot be guaranteed.
