The majority of no gas-fired forges and furnaces will need a source of blown air to bring them up to temperature, something usually provided, at home at least, by a rudimentary lash up to an old vacuum cleaner, hair dryer or similar. The problem with these is that air control is basic or non-existent. In this booklet Don Meador describes an essentially simple method of building in a controller so that you can regulate the air flow; whilst the basics are dead simple, the design considerations are more complex and well covered here. If you are building a forge, including the author’s “Blacksmith Firepot”, or a simple furnace this is well worth having. 21 pages. 17 illustrations. Softbound. Millennial Marketing
