If you like ‘outdoor’ programmes on TV you will almost certainly have come across Julia Bradbury walking somewhere interesting. This set from BBC series contains: Wainwright Walks 1, up Haystacks, Belcathra, Castle Crag and Scafell Pike, Wainwright Walks 2, up Helvellyn, Catbells, High Street, Bowfell and Crinkle Crags, Helm Crag and Pillar, Wainwright Walks - Coast to Coast, walking the 190 miles from St. Bees to Robin Hood’s Bay and, as a bonus, Railway Walks, in which our heroine walked a number of the lost railway lines of Britain, including the Mawddach Trail, the Monsall Trail, Cornwall Mineral Railway, and the line from Callender to Loch Tay. On each walk she meets interesting people, and is accompanied on Coast to Coast by the good company of the much less good-looking Eric Robson, who reminiscences about making the priginal programmes with AW himself. Really excellent viewing, at a bargain price!
