Geoffrey Ordish visited Cornwall from 1915 onwards, and the 200 plus photographs in this book were all taken between 1920 and 1933, with the great majority being published for the first time. Taken at mine sites across the Duchy, some give new insights into well known mines - there is a splendid sequence at Levant, while others are now the only record of small, forgotten workings, as well as larger ones whose remains were destroyed during Worl War 11 in case they gave guidance to marauding aircraft. Few underground scenes, but otherwise fascinating scenes of workings, buildings and what they contained. 248 page paperback. The Trevithick Society
