As far as I know this is the second history of monorails to be published. It differs from the first book in being focused on systems which were actually built, and restricts itself to the 19th Century. And as it is three times the size, it can go in to considerably more detail, especially technical, of each system. Interestingly the first monorail system was patented in 1821 - and gave rise to sliding doors.
Even the Camden girls found this interesting - the ultimate recommendation!
