This film was shot in June 2009, and includes dramatic footage of the R&ER's steam locomotives River Mite, River Esk and River Irt, and the line's newest diesel locomotive Douglas Ferreira. Also included are trackside and footplate action, all amongst magnificent mountain scenery. We also take a trip up the line with Peter van Zeller, at the controls of 'his engine' River Esk; Peter also wrote the script and narrates here. Lovely footage from a lovely railway - you may even spot some of the Camden gang in it!
