Rhymney Railway Drawings
£18.00

The first volume in a series of Welsh railway records, this contains locomotive, carriage and goods wagon drawings and photographs of Rhymney Railway stock. The Rhymney was one of a number of South Wales lines running up the valleys from the southern coast, in its case from Cardiff to Rhymney via Caerphilly, plus branches. Over this, in 1913, it moved nearly 6 million tons of coal, plus other products, using nothing bigger than 0-6-2 tanks. These, and smaller engines are fully covered here, but I suspect that, for modellers, the carriage drawings may be more useful, as nearly all were Gloucester Railway Carriage products. 136 very well produced pages, crammed with drawings and B&W photographs. Hardbound. Lightmoor Press.
