This book commemorates the return of South African Railways 15F class 4-8-2 No. 3007 to Glasgow in August 2007, for exhibition in the city’s new Riverside Museum where it will represent a product of Glasgow’s industrial past. As well as telling the tale of how this repatriation took place, this book also covers the history of locomotive building in Glasgow, with special reference to North British Locomotive Works where 3007 was built. Plus it looks at her service career, and working on 15Fs, at the history of SAR, and especially at the Scots connection and the various CMEs. Very well designed book, with 100s of B&W and colour photographs, plus technical and artistic drawings. 108 larger format landscape pages. Paperback. Lightmoor Press
