We don't offer second-hand books as a matter of routine, but we have now put the whole library of the late Pat Dalton in our Second-Hand Books segment of the site. Pat wrote a number of articles for the railway press, mainly on the ex-Cambrian lines in Wales, and his library reflects this area, as well as a good number of wider-interest railway books.
We have also just started to add items from the library of George Carpenter, the well-known technical man of steam, who translated Chapelon's 'La Locomotive a Vapeur' into English which we published some years back. Whilst some items have gone on the website, and most sold, there is a huge amount more to go there over the next month or so - 10 boxes, 2 large filing cabinets and a trunk's worth to be exact.
The moral of all this, is to keep an eye on the Second Hand Books part of the website, as you should find some fascinating and rare items there!
