As a Class they were overshadowed by the 'Coronation' Pacifics which appeared some fours years after the 'Princess Royals', but they held their own in top-link service all over the London Midland Railway and its successors.

If you are modelling, or super-detailing a model of one of this class, in any scale or gauge, electric or steam powered, this book will prove a treasure trove of information. As far as I am aware, there are commercial models of this class available in both 00 and 0 gauges; additionally the 3 1/2" gauge design by H.P.
