Cleveland Trolleys in Color (Last Copies)

This product is currently sold out.

Around half of this book is devoted to the last 4 years or so of the Cleveland Transit System, until Cleveland abandoned street trolleys in January 1954 - this was a system of Peter Witt cars in particular, although PCC cars also figured heavily in its final years.  Also covered in some details is Shaker Heights Raid Transit, which happily continues in operation. Really very largely a Light Rail operation, this has used interurban cars, PCC cars, and currently has Breda built articulated sets. Finally a short section deals with Cleveland Rapid Transit, another Light Rail operation with a symbiotic relationship with the Shaker Heights one. 128 pages. Around 220 well captioned colour photographs. Hardbound. Morning Sun
