Faith, Hope and Charity - the defence of Malta

Available again after some years out of print, this book tells the amazing story of the aerial defence of Malta during World War 11.

It concentrates especially on the the period from June to October 1941 when the total defence comprised three obsolescent Sea Gladiator biplanes - “Faith”, “Hope” and “Charity”, and a small number of pilots, who took on the might of the Italian Regio Aeronautica.

Subsequently Hurricanes arrived in dribs and drabs, but one battered Gladiator continued to fly when the Luftwaffe joined in in large numbers.

A wonderful, inspiring and true story and a great read! 169 page paperback with 15 B&W illustrations.
