Les Cheminots dans La Résistance (SALE)
Looks at the roles of railwaymen in the Resistance in some detail, both within the railways, and in the wider world. As the only major method of transport, the railways were critical to the invaders, and were thus very attractive targets to the Resistance. For understandable reasons footplate crew weren't keen on the blowing up of track. A complex and emotive subject well covered here; whilst this book is well illustrated, many of the illustrations are of ephemera rather than wrecked trains, and you do really have to be able to understand French to appreciate the history recounted in its 223 pages.
