RAILWAYS - Toy - Model - Protype

Written by Max Heusser and published by him in 2004, as the title implies it covers railways, largely during the steam era as toys, models and also the linked prototypes.

The simplest way to think of it is as a history of tinplate model railways in 0 Gauge and Gauge 1, as produced by all the major European manufacturers, plus Lionel in the USA. Every now and again the author dives off into railway history and more technical matters.

492 landscape format pages and hardbound with dust jacket, so heavy. All models are illustrated in colour photos, of which there are considerable numbers, plus B&W photos of many of the prototypes. English text.

CONDITION: slight creasing on dust jacket top edge. Page 3 has a slightly turned down corner, otherwise fine.
