Sista tåget ut! (LAST COPIES)
A very detailed look at the 3’ (891mm) gauge railways of Sweden still operating commercially between 1970 to 1990.
A few of these still used steam power, but most relied on diesel power for both locomotives and railcars, with a couple electrified; a few survive in part as preserved lines, notably the Växjö-Västervik, although the preservation ear is not covered here.
The Swedish text is a problem unless you are Scandinavian, BUT any narrow gauge enthusiast will appreciate the 400 or so B&W and colour photos of the variegated designs of locomotives, railcars and rolling stock. A real quality hardback book of 352 pages, and very good value.
