T.T. Boughton & Sons Ltd., of Amersham Common, Bucks was founded in 1897 by the author's father, then a young man. with a threshing set and expanded into all forms of agricultural contracting, always with steam. In the late 1930s they started to move to IC power, and the firm continues in existence today.
In this book the author recalls his memories of the period up to the late 1940s, so very concentrated on steam. The later period is the subject of Triumphs of Transport, by the same author.
Over 100 archive B&W photos many of which are somewhat murky, but an interesting text. 121 page A4 format paperback
