The Evolving Railway

Brian Morrison’s first photograph of the railway scene was taken in 1951, and is the first picture in this book, followed by around 170 others, mostly full page, all in B&W and the majority from the 1950s.

Morrison’s skill as a photographer was evident in his first picture and continues in the others here, largely of steam, but including electric and diesel traction - all favourites from his collection and taken on standard gauge lines throughout the UK.

A large format book full of nostalgic pictures of what the railways were like fifty and more years ago. 160 pages. Hardbound.
