The Ways of our Railways
Published by Ward, Lock & Co 1911 - Second Edition.
Redolent of the Edwardian, the first edition of Charles H. Grinling's book was published in 1905, this edition being somewhat revised.
Whilst not a technical teatise, it does describe the workings of Britain's major pre-grouping railway companies in considerable detail and is of considerable historic interest. 350 pages with a spectacular embossed hard cover and a considerable number of B&W photos. An interesting read.
CONDITION - Front cover has some wear, notably at the top left front where the 'our' in the title is very faint. Text pages slightly spotted in places. Picture pages good, and binding is solid.
