Compiled by Roy C. Link, with input from a number of other experts, the core of this magnificent book is an album of 120 large photographs assembled by an unknown ROC in France illustrating their activities, seemingly mainly in 1918. The photographs are very detailed (and evocative), but considerable extra information, and many more illustrations, has been assembled covering the development of the WDLR and its operations, the track and equipment, in detail. For the NG modeller, the photographs of rolling stock and equipment, linked to the photographs, make this book a 'must-have', as it is for anyone interested in railways. 256 landscape format pages to the usual standards from Roy. Hardback.
