A detailed record of this courageous flight undertaken at a time of great financial difficulty for the U.K. after the War. From the time of departure until their eventual arrival at Croydon the following year, they were faced with a myriad of difficulties, and the story of how this was achieved makes an amazing read. For several reasons, this flight was never officially registered as the first round the world flight by a woman, However, I believe that it never received the proper recognition that it deserved; in fact, quite the opposite.
