Glasgow by Tram

Lovely book of B&W photos of Glagow's trams in the 18 months or so, before the system was closed on the 3rd June 1961.

The photos show 'Standard', 'Coronation' and 'Cunarder' cars (or 'caurs') in all their grimy glory, mainly in the urban settings of the old Glasgow, which started to disappear and be redeveloped after the trams had gone.

The whole book absolutely reeks of the Glasgow of the 1960s, the people, the architecture, the motor cars, and the trams.
