Rail Ramble Round Ireland, July 1969

£12.95

In July 1969, and 18 year old Hugh Dougherty, left his home near Donegal Town, on his own for the first time, to see as much as he could of the surviving Irish railways.

This is his story of the trip and what he saw, getting to Dublin, Cork, Tralee, Loughreea and Rosslare, before heading home via Belfast and Derry. There are 34 very largely colour photographs illustrating his adventures, and a text which is very good on the assorted characters he met en-route.

48 very enjoyable pages. Landscape format paperback.
