Delivery Costs: in as far as it is possible, we try to make the delivery charge to you the same as it costs us to ship the goods to you. Naturally enough, the charges depend on the weight of your order; if you Register on the site when you first use it, so it knows which country you live in, as you shop, the Shopping Basket can show you the cumulative delivery charge for the items in it.
All deliveries of books, magazines and DVDs are made by Royal Mail ‘Printed Paper’, or ‘Small Packet’ Air Mail (or Priority) services, which represent exceptional value. For parcel weights of around 750grms upwards, these will be by ‘M’ bag service, when the parcel should travel from us to you in a large sealed bag. Under normal circumstances, transit time to you should not exceed 10 days, other than to exceptionally remote destinations.
Because of high losses in transit, customers in SOUTH AFRICA, ZIMBABWE, INDIA, PAKISTAN and NIGERIA should note we now normally only send orders to these countries by insured parcel services; these are considerably more expensive, but the items do normally reach their destination. The website will automatically charge insured parcel rate to these countries. We will despatch orders to these countries using “Printed Paper Rate”, but only if authorised to do so, and the customer assumes all risk of loss; if this is acceptable please contact us direct, and do not enter your order through this website.
